Who is eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine in Pharmacy?

COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available in selected pharmacies for those currently recommended to get a first, second or booster (first or second) dose of COVID-19 vaccination as per HSE guidance i.e., aged 12 years and over and once recommended wait time has passed since primary or first round of COVID-19 vaccination if getting a booster dose.

Please note that the Moderna Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine can only be administered to people aged 30 years and over and this is the only vaccine stock currently available in some LloydsPharmacy stores.

If you are aged under 30 years, ensure you select the correct appointment booking link below or your appointment may be cancelled.

If aged 30 years or over, you can select either the Moderna or Pfizer booking link for your age group below.

**Important Information before you book an appointment**

Please don’t come into store for your appointment if you :

•Have symptoms of COVID-19;

•Get a positive PCR or antigen test result for COVID-19, even if you have mild symptoms or no symptoms;

•Were tested because you had symptoms and are waiting for PCR test results.

Instead, please cancel your appointment.

  1. Once you have confirmed you are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination through pharmacy you can book your appointment through our booking system:
    • Pfizer for 12-17 Year Olds
    • Pfizer for 18 Years or Over
    • Moderna for 30 Years or Over only
  2. We request that you bring a recognised form of photo ID e.g., your passport/driver's licence/public services card as well as your PPS number with you to your appointment. We require this as Pharmacists are requested to confirm your identity and vaccination grouping and also to inform the Health Service Executive (HSE) of any vaccination administered.
  3. The COVID-19 vaccination service is administered by specially trained pharmacist and is subject to vaccine availability. Remember to wear loose clothing for your appointment, so our pharmacist can roll up your sleeve to administer the vaccination easily.
Inclusion criteria for Pfizer (12-17 Year olds)
Please confirm that you or the person(s) you are booking an appointment meet all of the criteria:
  • Is aged 12 to 17 years
  • Is booking an appointment for a 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccination or a booster dose and is in one of the HSEs current recommended groups
  • Does not have a history of allergic reactions or confirmed anaphylaxis to any of the ingredients of the vaccine including Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), a previous dose of the Pfizer BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine, to previous injectable therapy, or have a condition called mastocytosis
  • Does not have myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) or pericarditis (inflammation of the lining around the heart) after having a previous dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine
  • They will not attend for an appointment until at least four weeks after receiving a lab confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis (if getting a primary course vaccination dose e.g. first time getting a COVID-19 vaccination) or 6 months if getting a booster vaccination dose
  • Aware that they or their parent/legal guardian must not attend an appointment even if have been vaccinated against COVID-19 if they have possible or confirmed symptoms of COVID-19, get a positive PCR or antigen test result for COVID-19 are awaiting a test or have been advised to restrict movements.
  • Aware that must bring a recognised form of photo ID such as passport/driver's licence/public services card as well as your PPS number, with you to your appointment
  • If aged under 16 years of age will be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when they come to the pharmacy for their appointment
  • Aware that must wait in the pharmacy for 15 minutes after the vaccination
Inclusion Criteria for Pfizer 18 Years or Over
Please confirm that you or the person(s) you are booking an appointment meet all of the criteria:
  • Is aged 18 years or over
  • Is booking an appointment for a 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccination or a booster dose and is in one of the HSEs current recommended groups
  • Does not have a history of allergic reactions or confirmed anaphylaxis to any of the ingredients of the vaccine including Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), a previous dose of the Moderna Spikevax or Pfizer/BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine,to previous injectable therapy, or have a condition called mastocytosis

  • Does not have a history of allergic reactions or confirmed anaphylaxis to any of the ingredients of the vaccine including Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), a previous dose of the Moderna Spikevax or Pfizer/BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine, to previous injectable therapy, or have a condition called mastocytosis.
  • Does not have myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) or pericarditis (inflammation of the lining around the heart) after having a previous dose of the Moderna Spikevax or Pfizer/BioNTech Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine
  • They will not attend for an appointment until at least four weeks after receiving a lab confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis (if getting a primary course vaccination dose e.g. first time getting a COVID-19 vaccination) or 3 months if getting a 1st booster vaccination dose or 4 months is getting a 2nd booster vaccination dose

  • Aware that must bring a recognised form of photo ID such as passport/driver's licence/public services card as well as your PPS number, with you to your appointment
  • Aware that must wait in the pharmacy for 15 minutes after the vaccination

Keeping safe during your appointment

Looking after our customers and colleagues remains our top priority. Please don’t come into store for your appointment if you, or anyone in your household or support bubble, have COVID-19 symptoms, you are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, or you are required to self-quarantine due to travel within the last 14 days. Symptoms of COVID-19 include a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, shortness of breath and a loss or change in sense of taste or smell.
